I wouldn't expect it to be on the front page, but it would be nice if they would at least mention it in their Olympic sports section. Maybe when Rupp breaks the record Nike will make them write an article about it.

Back in the day ESPN, CNN, SI, CBS, TIME, LAT, WAP, NYT, ABC, NBC, USNWR, Newsweek, etc. were the publications of record. With the internet they are universally obsolete and ignored by most young people. In a few short years most of them will be like Detroit, out of business or owned by socialists.
What I find interesting about the espn site is that 'sports' like rugby and poker get a direct link from the main page but track and field gets a sub category under Olympic sports. Poker I guess is now a sport and is bigger than track .
I was referring specifically to the ESPN website which is on the internet. Are you saying that because of the internet the ESPN website is obsolete? this makes no sense. If that is what you were trying to say besides the nonsensicalness of the statement you don't know many young people if you think espn.com is ignored by most of them.
Who cares anymore ? Nobody. ESPN matters only to old people who read paper newspapers, paper magazines, and the funny pages. The old media companies don't matter at all in this day and age. They are no longer the clearing house for importance and/or validity.
forget ESPN, USATF doesn't even mention it. Now that's sad.
I was wondering if you were trolling, but gave the benefit of the doubt before. Now I know you are. Fair enough. Well played.

USATF's Media Information Manager is Tom Surber. Email him to complain that they don't even mention the AR in their news section:
Tom.Surber@usatf.orgOr call him at:
317-713-4690
You can also try Jill Geer, the USATF Chief Public Affairs Officer at:
Jill.Geer@usatf.orgor
508-520-1529
And while you're at it, why not give USATF Communications Coordinator Vicky Oddi a ring?
Vicky.Oddi@usatf.orgor
317-713-4670
Executive Director Tom Jackovic might also appreciate hearing about it:
Tom.Jackovic@usatf.orgor
412-918-1271
Keep it polite and to the point and if enough people respond maybe it'll get somewhere.

I can find Poker on TV most every night on at least one channel...sometimes two!
I've seen more sports programming on Drag Car racing than track and field.

DAMN, WHAT DO YOU EXPECT?! THE NBA FINALS ARE ON RIGHT NOW, EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE CENTERED AROUND THAT!!! F***ING IDIOT. IVE SAID THIS BEFORE AND ILL SAY IT AGAIN, NO ONE GIVES A F***ING DAMN ABOUT F***ING RUNNING, SO STOP F***ING COMPLAINING THAT NO ONE PAYS ATTENTION TO IT. ITS NOT F***ING EXCITING ENOUGH. GET A F***ING LIFE, F***ING MORON.
Being silent does not change things. Keep drinking your tap water.
USATF & ESPN are not the press. USATF is a federation. ESPN sells TV shows, they issue press releases and advertsiments and not journalism.
Brilliant post! Are you new here?
Great. We love the Lakers. Hope the Lakers get their 16th World Championships. Kobe is the greatest sports figure in the history of mankind. He deserves another ring.
