People don't hate Rupp, they just find him to be weird/annoying?

I find someone who would post such ridiculous crap to be "weird/annoying".

The odd thing is the perception that Rupp has some kind of exclusive access to all the high tech training tools. Not sure where that comes from.

Also, I think Rupp just has an introverted personality type. Which is extremely normal for distance runners in general. Bekele is the same way.

You have to admit it is a stark contrast. Rupp taken right out of high school into the altitude house before going to run for Oregon and then basically trained that way since then. Meanwhile guys like Solinsky and Teg slogged through the snow in Wisconsin winters and both end up hurting their knees in the process (Solinsky had a particularly nasty PCL tear). I'm stoked that they are both now out in Oregon and away from those conditions that set them back for a while.

Face it, everybody likes it when the "regular-guy" beats the chosen one.

Excellent point. It seems that between his weight loss and having decent winter training conditions, Solinsky (like Teg) has finally been catching up to his potential.
