They are both good coaches. Why does one have to be "better" than the other, and what the hell does that really mean anyway? At the end of their careers, which will hopefully (even with AlSal's heart problems) be a long time from now, that might be a question to be asked (with likely differing opinions), but it's way too premature at this point. In fact it's rather insulting to two people who do a fine job. Although their personalities and outlooks on the sport may differ, that is more about style than substance.
I think that both are great coaches but Nike needs to hire a MARATHON COACH. These guys are both 5k-10k coaches. The guy in Eugene is more of an 800-1500 guy. They need a marathon coach.
