It was all in the socks.
It was all in the socks.
Shut up, and appreciate a great performance!
What was he wearing? Im suspicious, were they helping his performance in some way?!
His American record is faster than the Olympic record. Maybe he won't need to go faster.
They were compression socks, they promote blood flow through the legs, they can help but by all means do not necessarily improve a performance, that's up to the athlete.

Um...maybe up to the athlete to put them on. That's a pretty ridiculous statement. Everything is technically up to the athlete...they could walk the entire race if they want. Either it helps their performance or it doesn't. According to you it does. The athlete isn't going to intentionally go slower to account for the better blood flow. It's not "up to the athlete" without making an insane stretch.

There is no evidence of that. Does it even make sense to you? How does constricting muscle 'promote' blood flow through the legs. The heart does that.
Step 1) Enter "calf muscles the second heart" in the search engine called Google. It is a new company that you will hear about in the future.
Step 2) Click on the first link. Read it.
Step 3) Done.
