Might as well hear it now. Last week's trial did not go that well. You could here it in his voice. He only looked back twice which shows he was going at about 95%. If it was comfortable he would have looked back like a dozen times. Anyways, forget about him running Stanford. He is not.

You are a strange runner to be looking back like a dozen time if you're comfortable.
A lot of people care about women runners. A lot of men care about them more than they care about male runners. What's not to care about? They don't run as fast as men? Yeah ... and?

as far as there running, all i know is every year we only have 5-10 men who run under 2:15:25 for the marathon.

Yeah, they're gonna wait to see what the weather looks like in Eugene, then decide to either run there or fly out to the Bay.
All that is running is there for Rupp at Stanford, not in some not paced, fast enough, drop out if not running fast enough at Eugene.

king99, you're right that Stanford is paced as well, but offers competition, whereas Eugene is just a set up race. The real issue, though, is whether he can break the American record under any conditions. I would think that it would be easier to do it at Stanford, because he would be more likely to have people to run with and draft off through 20:00 and maybe more. If he ran 13:32 last week with ease as a tempo at 10k pace, then it should be exciting. It does not seem likely that it was a struggle unless he was right in the middle of hard training, since he ran 13:14 indoors way back.
