Let's say you have to be either emo or goth. Which do you pick and why?

tough call. Emo is more current and slightly more respectable in my mind, so I guess I'd go with that.

He's a nutbar and not even close to my favorite comedian, but the other two choices are right out. Both Emo and Goth people allow things to happen to them and blame society for their lot in life. I'm a proactive guy who makes things happen.

Emo. Perhaps misguidedly, I associate emo with a slightly greater flexibility in terms of emotions and thoughts expressed, personal style, and sociability.
