Will Sam Chalenga win his third consecutive NCAA cross country title next year
Will Sam Chalenga win his third consecutive NCAA cross country title next year
really?
how old is he?
but galen won it last year...so i dont think so
Rupp did not win. All Rupp did was draft off of Chalenga. Chalenga raced tough and did all the work. Chalenga was clearly the better runner that day and deserved the title.

If Rupp didn't win, and Chelanga didn't win, the who won?!
So now it's who 'deserves' the win the most, not the guy who wins? Man, I'm going to win a lot of races now!
0/10
sammy hagar junior you are an idiot. doesnt matter how you win the race. if you finish first you win. your are an idiot. I dont care how the race was ran all that matter is how it finished.

No not who deserves it the most, but who is the better runner. Rupp clearly showed that he had no guts that day and sat behind Chalenga.
ever watch Bekel or Geb? I believe they also sit and kick
you are an idiot. you have no clue what your talking about maybe you shouldnt comment on running anymore. if you finish first you win doesnt matter how you did it. you have no argument and have no clue about running.
let's just answer the OP's question.
No.

Oh is cross country like gymnastics now? We're just going to let a board of judges decide who's race showed that they were the best?
EVEN THOUGH THEY DIDN'T RUN AS FAST ON THAT DAY? Somebody else started on the same line, and crossed the same line before them. Rupp was better than Chelenga last year. It's how races work.
I understand Rupp won, but watch the race. All Rupp did was draft behind Chalenga. Chalenga was essentially a rabbit and lost in a kick. That's pretty good for a "rabbit". Had Rupp had any class at all he would have taken the lead especially when he bumped into Chalenga.
as far as i know it was chelangas decision to go out like that and run that kind of a race. a rabbit is paid to run like that and has no other choice. that makes chelanga stupid for racing like that. that doesnt make rupps win any less impressive he ran the way he knew he would win chelanga didnt. noone made chelanga race like that he could of stayed with the pack in the beginning and kicked like rupp but he didnt. Rupp was the smarter and better runner.
and also learn how to spell chelanga its with an e not an a especially if your gonna try to argue for him. chElanga with an E
The OP has a point at one pooint announcers even said rupp drafted off of Chelanga
i didnt know it was illegal or wrong to draft off of a runner hmm thats news to me. I wish you people had any clue about running. The point of a race is to win the race not to lead during the race but to lead across the finish.
The point of running is to prove who is the best runner. Not who can show they have no guts which is what rupp did. Chelanga said okay guys this is the pace I'm going to run at. Rupp did that except he did it the cheap way.
Everyone who ran that day was a winner, because they all had fun!
