Did he retire after '76 Olympics to get product endorsement?
When did track become professional sport?

I think he married money
Here's a better question. How much plastic surgery did he have? He's almost as freaky looking as Michael Jackson was!
Wheaties! FTW
He sued his 1st plastic surgeon and won about 10 million.
Nike IPO
Big royalties from his starring role in "Can't Stop the Music" with the Village People.
his wife is rich because her ex-husband was some crazy good lawyer.
O.J.'s lawyer.
I always wondered about this too. Apparently its mostly due to his second wife.
He did do a lot of endorsements and also had a role on "CHiPS" but nothing to allow him to live the big time lifestyle he seems to have now.

I thought he also had some sort of private aircraft business. Motivational talks can pay pretty well.
BTW, track has had a professional element for a long time. Most of it was under the table. Carl Lewis lived well before it was "open".
Bruce Jenner has had a TON of money making opportunities including appearances on reality shows and game shows, sitcoms and dramas, and at least one movie. He owns a company (Bruce Jenner Aviation) that sells aircraft supplies, and he used to be involved in a software company (JennerNet). He's been a motivational speaker, and regardless of any money he's made from botched plastic surgery and money his current wife brought to the marriage, this guy has made a lot of money on his own.
He not only was on the Wheaties box but is one of their spokesmen.
Bryan Clay has to be lookin' for his reality show.

he died...would he have been a better lawyer if he wrote his wife and kids out of his will and was buried with money?
On a somewhat related note, I'm genuinely pleased that Bruce's recent plastic surgery went so well. He looks really good--much more like himself and much less like an ageing lesbian.
No they got divorced BEFORE he died.

Jenner's wife didn't get any of Robert Kardashian's money when they got divorced. That was part of the divorce agreement and Jenner's idea. Not sure what happened after he Robert died, I'm sure his kids got a boat load, don't know if Jenner's wife got any. Just wanted to point out that his money came from somewhere else, maybe a previous ex-wife or his aircraft part business. By the way Jenner has a bunch of other kids besides the Kardashians including one on The Hills.
Jenner donated all the money to build the athletic complex at Graceland College, a small college located in Lamoni, IA.
What about his son? Or is it stepson? How does he afford the lifestyle he lives?
He is one of those c-star celebrities who offers nothing but is sort of famous for doing nothing.
