i watched sportscenter today. They said/showed more about lance then they did about cheruyiot. I was pretty bummed. He is running in knee length basketball shorts for crying outloud! And he has 1 testicle, I repeat 1 testicle.

That lost nut has netted quite a large sum of money for charity through livestrong. If we all gave up a nut the world would be a much better place. Of course, that might saturate the nut market...

wow lance sucks. His time translates to over 5 minutes for the mile and a little under 11 minutes for the 2 mile.

wow all these people saying what times suck ar really douchebags that want to make themselves feel better. I hope you realize that your 2:30 marathon or whatever you run gets you as much as his 2:50 asshole.

I believe you are wrong there in the sense that a 2:30 marathon gets you 20 minutes faster than him (and numerous places higher).

In all fairness lance looked suitably embarassed when they made him run down that chute.

But it does have to be said he's the most juiced athlete of all time. There's more drugs in his system than the dancefloor at a Black Eyed Peas gig.

I doubt Lance had anything to do with it. He did not even know why he was being diverted at the end. Someone who has actually won something (unlike most people here) knows the privilege of breaking the tape first (although in cycling there is no tape).

Those who finished around that time were being diverted to a tiny section of the finish line on the side of the street. (There was a race official out in front of the finish frantically waving us all to the left.)

The funniest part about the "special finish tape" is that 30 years ago, his time was not good enough to qualify. Sorry Lance, not sub 2:50.

No doubt. I beat him by less than a minute, so anyone who finished much behind me is likely too ashamed to ever post on this board again. When Lance finally decides to run 2:30 himself, it's really going to clean things up around here.

In seriousness, though, his presence probably did me good, as I ran a strong second half in my effort to escape what I assumed at first was some sort of monster coming up from behind me. There was this crazy wave of crowd noise following him, which I decided I wanted to stay clear of.
