I may not have been around when you were here, but I do know what I'm talking about when it comes to today. The following are all facts:
I went to East Meck, less than two years ago.
East Meck has less than 50% black students.
East Meck has more black students than South Mecklenburg. Don't believe me? Just take a look at each of the surrounding neighborhoods.
I'll side with MTH when I say that you probably shouldn't use information based on when you lived here as a kid. We both live here now, and CMS is on the upswing.
I'm not here to fight, it's just I get defensive when people leave schools just because they're "scared they might get shot by black people." It's been bad in the past; I know parents who have made up addresses to send their kid to Myers Park rather then East.
