I've never seen one of these Survivor shows. How do they work...how does a person 'win'?

He looks like that tall horsey-faced chick with the perpetual high beams that was on 3's Company toward the end. Chrissy's sister or cousin or some shart like that.

This is exactly why I stopped watching the show after a couple seasons. Let me explain the way it works.

16 people are left in an isolated area (an island, the outbhack, etc.), usually forming two "tribes" (teams) of 8. First, they complete against one another in a "reward challenge" where the winning tribe gets a reward such as a nice big meal or some other comfort to make life a little easier on the island. The loseing tribe gets nothing. Next, they compete in an "immunity chllenge". The winning team gets nothing but the losing team must go to "tribal council". At tribal council, each team member votes anonymously to eliminate one of their own members. The person voted out must leave.

This process continues until there are about 8 or so total people left, at which time the two tribes join to form one. The game becomes individual at this time, every man and woman for himself. When it gets down to the final two contestants, the people who have been voted off throughout the game vote to determine the winner of the $1 million.

Now, why I stopped watching the show: the winner is rarely any type of "survivor" at all. Usually, the toughest people are kept in the game long enough to help the tribe win challenges but as soon as it becomes an individual game the pathetic weaklings get together and vote out the toughest people at the first opportunity. They have no chance to beat them in any challenges requireing physical or mental toughness so they vote them out. A "loser" almost always ends up the "winner". This routine just got old after a few seasons.

They would have done better to choose his former teammate Joel Kirsh to be on Survivor. That would be great.

I dont know where your getting these meet results from, I ran in that meet, didnt think i saw that kid beat me in the gold division (blue div was won in 1:55ish)

That's awesome. I actually think a runner would be perfect for the show since the contest favors physical and mental fitness but doesn't put demand outright prowess

Why don't you send in an audition tape? It's not like you would be missing out on work and your parents AND the board would get a much needed "vacation".

Since he ran for Eastern, I am sure he will cheat his way to a win. They should have picked Ben Reese. He is a real survivor. He somehow managed 8 years of eligibility at Eastern.
