So in three weeks, Wardian's run the trials, won the OBX marathon, now he's won the JFK 50 mile run in the second fastest time ever. Nice little roll he has going. Congrats to him.
He had another solid streak in the spring, running 6 marathons in 7 weeks. He said he is moving up to some longer (like 100 mile) races... he'll probably do pretty well.

Impressive by Wardian (four minutes off course record) but I'd say performance of the day goes to Anne Lundblad who smashed the overall women's record and (at age 41) beat the first male master straight up.
How did the drummer dude from the GooGoo Dolls do?
Actually Lundblad set the Overall womens course record in 2005 with 6:29 and ran 13 minutes off this pace yesterday. Still an amazing run/runner though.
