Any results known for the 8 km in Cedar Rapids? Looks like it has a nice amount of prize money that locals and Iowans can get a part of. Hope it was a bit cooler up there. Thanks in advance, ML

Here's where I would start to look, but it doesn't look like today's results are posted yet.
Somebody please post something unofficially (but maybe you don't have the internet in Iowa yet).
Kiptoo won in 22:45
Americans
7th Sell 23:04
13th Gabrielsen 23:23
15th Humphry 23:30
16th Moen 23:33
18th Bolden 23:45
19th Gaudette 23:49
It doesn't look like there was much money avaiable for locals.
Thanks for the update. Sorry about the slam on the potato state. I think the site had something about $1000 for county residents and another $1000 for Iowa residents, but I don't recall the break down.
Seems like a fast 8k. What other 8k is out there that it takes under 24 minutes to be top 20?
Course record was 22:57 before this year. It is interesting that when you throw a few americans in their the africans are forced to run faster.
Thanks, I had found the club's site, too, but no info, so glad to get what I could. Any info on the women?
I was born in CR and spent my first 14 years there and outside of there, so fond memories.
It "Seems" like a fast course, but between the slight uphills for the first 1/2 or more, plus the humidity, it still runs a bit slow. I would love to see the times on that course in a money race in October. Bet it would be a screamer, especially the last mile.
also, Iowa has a lot of hogs, cattle, and corn, but not many potatoes, except in gardens. Just an fyi.

I wasn't born in Iowa, but I've lived here for almost 25 years. I think the potato comment was in confusion with Idaho. I'm amazed at the number of people who can't keep Iowa, Idaho and Ohio straight.
