Last Year's Runner's Up: Cheboror and Alemu Added to Boston Marathon Field (c) 2005 Race Results Weekly, all rights reserved March 9, 2005 The man and woman who finished second at last year's BAA Boston Marathon, Robert Cheboror of Kenya and Elfenesh Alemu of Ethiopia, have been added to this year's Boston field, organizers announced today. Cheboror, who ran a 2:06:23 personal best in winning Amsterdam last fall, was defeated by Timothy Cherigat in steamy conditions at last year's Boston race. Alemu lost a dramatic two-woman duel with Catherine Ndereba in last year's race. The BAA Boston Marathon will be held on Monday, 18-Apr.
