In the women's race, Turkey's Euro XC champ Yasemin Can dominated, while Laura Muir anchored Great Britain to victory in the mixed-gender relay thanks to a brilliant anchor leg.

Mo Farah's 2017 campaign begins on Saturday morning in Scotland where he'll try to prevent Garret Heath from pulling a stunner in Edinburgh for the fourth year in a row. Euro XC champ Aras Kaya of Turkey, plus Club XC champ Sam Chelanga and U.S. Olympians Leonard Korir and Hillary Bor also feature in the men's 8k. In the women's race, Euro XC champ Yasemin Can of Turkey faces U.S. Olympian Marielle Hall and Sarah Pagano. Laura Muir, Kyle Merber and Will Leer are among the legs in the mixed-gender 4x1k relay. Ayana may not have earned Olympic gold in the 5,000, but she was utterly dominant apart from that, breaking 14:20 three times in 2016 (before this year, it had been done six times, total).
