The 50th New York Mini this weekend is loaded and the stars of the sport today and the women who first ran it 50 years ago reflect on this historic race.

C Check out some of these names. Reigning Boston, Olympic and NY champ Peres Jepchirchir headlines but she'll be joined by Molly Seidel, Kera D'Amato, Emily Sisson, Sara Hall, Senbere Teferi, Enda Kiplagat, and many more.

There is a stacked women's field with Jordan Hasay, Sara Hall, Stephanie Bruce, Aliphine Tuliamuk, Sally Kipyego, Emma Bates and Deena Kastor.

Keitany ran 30:59 to win by more than a minute.

American Aliphine Tuliamuk was third in 32:14, ahead of Boston champ Edna Kiplagat (32:23) 

Other notables in the field include Betsy Saina, Americans Aliphine Tuliamuk, Natosha Rogers and Amy Van Alstine, NYC 4th placer Joyce Chepkirui, Mamitu Daska and GB's Jo Pavey.

Sumgong crushed Aliphine Tuliamuk (32:14) by 47 seconds. Brianne Nelson (33:02) and Desi Linden (33:17) were 5th and 6th.

Desi Linden faces London Marathon champion Jemima Sumgong, recent US citizen Aliphine Tuliamuk-Bolton and Diane Nukuri.

Mary Keitany destroyed the field winning in a quick 31:15.

Serena Burla leads the Americans.
