Birmingham Diamond League Recap: Javelin and 200 Steal the Show as Hassan and Amos Get First DL Wins of Year and Lagat another Master's WR

The biggest news was Mo Farah pulling out of the meet before hand, but on the track there was a thrilling women's 200m, in the infield one of the best javelins ever, and in the distances Hassan and Amos picked up their first DL wins of the year and Bernard Lagat another master's WR in one of his least impressive runs of the year.

No one was faster than Silas Kiplagat but in our minds no one was better than Ayanleh Souleiman. Thanks to HOKA One One and John Hayes, a resurgent Leo Manzano claims US #1.

Men's 4 X 1,500 Final: Kenya Gets Gold, US Hangs On For Silver At 2014 World Relays

Kenya won and got the WR as expected but this one had way more drama than expected with Pat Casey handing off in first, David Torrence hanging with Silas Kiplagat and Leo Manzano making it real interesting (for bronze) on the anchor.

Asbel Kiprop Runs 3:29.18 To Win an "Astonishing" 1,500m To Kick Off Diamond League Season

Asbel Kiprop, Silas Kiplagat, Makhloufi and Wote produced a "classic" and "astonishing" 1,500 to start the season. The Ethiopian national record was set and it only got 6th place.
