Scott Bauhs (62:23) And Janet Cherobon-Bawcom (71:49) Win RnR Arizona Half As Sub-Elites Get Their Last Chance OT Qualifier Bauhs won in a close race over Ben Bruce who finished 5-seconds back. Tommy Rivers Puzey (2:25:22) and Tanya Gallagher (2:46:44) won the marathon.

Bruce won in 2:27:32 while Lindsey Scherf won the half in 1:17:30 and Scott Wietcha won the men's in 1:05:51.

Sambu made a big move at 4 miles and was all alone for the second half of this race as he rolled to a dominant victory in 31:46 for the 7-mile course. Saina and Steel were still together as they crested the final hill but Saina's track speed won out over the road specialist Steel as she won in 35:56 to Steel's 36:03. Molly Huddle was third in 36:15. Ben Bruce was 4th in the men's race.

Bruce ran 2:21:56 in his debut in less than ideal conditions.

The announcement comes the day after CGI announced it was reinstating its elite athlete program. Bruce said he plans on focusing on the marathon looking ahead to 2016.

This is a separate group from the earlier announced Team Run Flagstaff and includes team members Ben and Stephanie (Rothstein) Bruce, 2:13 marathoner Jordan Chipangama and World Championship half marathoner Maegan Krifchin.
