Nice to find a racing flat that is minimal and super lightweight, but also provides more “cushion” than older racers. They have plenty of rubber on the bottom to help them grip in different terrain and hold up longer. have used these on XC style courses and road 5ks.

If you're looking to get out of your super-shoes for a bit, these are a nice alternative, mostly for shorter (5k/10k), speedy efforts; but you could easily wear them for a half marathon, too. Like most light, quick racing shoes, their durability is limited; but the cushioning and ride out of the box is amazing, particularly if you miss being able to feel the road in today's highly-cushioned racers.
