light shoe good for faster workouts or races up to Half marathon for me. I am tall and 175lb and typically like a lot of cushion.
The look was a little off-putting (more like a basketball shoe) but I decided to take the plunge with all the buzz about them. The ride is okay, but it never felt like it was well-cushioned in the mid-foot and after just a few-hundred miles I feel like I have a bruise on my right mid-foot after I run even an easy 3-5 miles in them.
Great road shoe. Feels like new for many miles. Fits snug on my narrow foot. Works well for a track workout too.
Take off road at your peril. Slick tread and narrow heel
Like the adidas fit. Have run in this brand for many years. Have a high arch and instep and adidas seems to fit my feet best.
This shoe has served as my all-around trainer for 2 marathon training cycles. No blisters on long runs. They don't seem to slow me down on speed workouts. I have 560 miles on them so far. I think I could get about another 50 or so out of them.
I loved the Adidas Adios 2 BEFORE they began using the Boost technology. I tried the Adios Boost 1 and felt it had became a true marathon racing shoe that was good for racing but couldn't handle the daily grind of training. I used to run EVERY run, some 7-10 per week, in the Adios 2 (I rotated through several pairs) with no issue. I loved the shoe so much that I never bothered to try new ones. I now own two pairs of the Adios Boost 2 and run all my speedier sessions in them as well as long runs but still resort back to my original Adios (sans Boost) for all other runs. I'll continue to use them but for the first time in three years, am in the market for a new brand and model.
Very light and fast. Best sizing!
wore down quickly compared to previous adizero pro shoes, front sole too stiff, heel too soft
PRs over all distances (5K through Marathon). Handled Boston with ease and I have regular issues with my calves. My only issue would be that although the continental rubber stands up well, the plastic lugs tend to wear down a lot quicker. I am 300kms on my first pair (all road races and some workouts) and 50% of the lugs have gone although the shoe seems to be holding up ok. Wearing the same pair for the NZ National Road Champs this weekend and then will retire them and move on to the next pair
it felt sweet
Love and hate.
