It’s the midsole of course but it’s also the width.  I haven’t run in anything else off road, except when racing.

Wore these shoes for speed very often, and they held up. They felt a little flat but they delivered.

I have worn over 5 pairs of these shoes but they don't last much past 300 miles.  The start to wear out on the bottom and are overall not as comfortable.  Great for the 20 to 30 mile a week runner but if you are training for a half or full marathon I suggest buying something else.  Other than this I really like them and thought they were comfortable and had good cushion.

  • My favorite shoe I've ever worn.

I was a structure wearer for years until that was discontinued. I then tried a variety of different shoes - Hoka Bondi, Nike Pegasus, Adidas supernova, Brooks Ghost. I had a few injuries during that time, particularly when wearing the Bondi. And then the infinity came out and I tried it. I loved it even more than the structure. When the structure returned I had no desires to return to it. The support and padding on the Infinity was just better in every way for how I run and I haven't had a major injury since.

Great shoe for mileage. The rocker feel makes it so you're constantly being propelled forwards with the perfect balance between cushion and firmness. I bought a size up because I like some extra room around the toe. It isn't a fast shoe and is on the heavier side but for slow recovery days and base mileage this is my go to. There's nothing special about it and that's why it's special. Simple basic running shoe with a rocker. It doesn't try to be something that it isn't or be a shoe for multiple uses although you could use it for other things if you wanted. It's a solid everyday mileage shoe that can provide the support and go the distance.
