Excellent support, balance, good footprint, and traction.
The Infinity Run is one of the best value shoes I've ever gotten. 3 years of year-round use (part of a 8-shoe rotation for a national elite class runner, average minimum 10k in the shoe per week) and the shoe still doesn't feel flat, and usable for paces even down towards LT1. The Flyknit mesh is very forgiving and due to the wide base of the shoe, stability isn't an issue. Super super good value for the money as the shoe seems indestructible. Only issue is that the heel counter digs into the achilles - the later version fixed this.
This is a great versatile shoe for cushioned easy runs that isn’t afraid to pick up the pace when you’re looking for it. The first time I wore it, I felt pain in my mid foot until I took them out of retirement two years later. The mid foot shank can take some getting used to but overall this shoe shines.
The upper was awful. No lockdown, often too tight, slippage caused blisters, and the heel rubbed the Achilles. The last or mold used for the midsole was also crap, very different than standard neutral lasts used on many other shoes from various companies. The foam was nice. If nike just made something like this with the rocker shape that it currently has, a neutral last, and a standard Pegasus - like upper it would be great.
I remember the day I got these shoes I was so excited. They felt incredible for about 250 miles and then there was a subtle but noticeable decline until about 330-350 where they became dangerous. The energy return on these shoes is awesome and I they were my companion on many a long run (in fact that's where I put most of the miles into them). This is a shoe I would definitely buy again. The high stack height and sharp geometry took a little bit of time for my ankles to get used (IE not twisting on downhills and curbs). A great, short ride.
I've logged ~350 miles on these shoes. The heel tab in the back comes up and will cause chafing on your achilles without high enough socks. The upper stretches and there's little structure to it, which makes it comfortable. That means there's not ankle support either - don't try to do any terrain running on these! The sole is very wide and the only real source of preventing ankle roll injury.
I'd buy them again if they were on sale because they look great and were a comfortable ride, but caution others as they're not your normal running shoe. Try them on at a store with a treadmill before you buy.
This shoe has a wonderful midsole. It is cushioned, responsive, and very smooth. The shoe looks great, and it seems like it will last long. But unfortunately for me, the upper is terrible. I don't know how a shoe can feel both loose and too tight at the same time. The infinity react is fine when I first step in, but when I start running, my foot feels like its going to slip right out. I can't tighten them more because they are already cutting off my circulation. The only reason I still run in them is because of the fantastic midsole.
grea very soft and comfy highly recommend them for training cant wait to put a few more miles in them.
