Best Super Shoe in My Opinion

Being an elite runner, I'm very picky as to the shoes I choose to wear. I normally have a three shoe rotation, with an easy day shoe, a workout shoe, and a super shoe, but before, I only had two shoes, before adding a super shoe to the mix. When I was first looking at super shoes, I was thinking about getting the Vaporfly 2 (the  newest Vaporfly out at the time) because everything I'd heard and read told me they were the best super shoes on the market. However, being a flat footed runner, and having knock-knees in my past, I realized that the Vaporfly would not be a good choice for me, as its listed drop from heel to toe was 8mm, when I needed a shoe that was 5mm or below. I stumbled upon the Asics Metaspeed Sky+ which had a drop of 5mm, and also this shoe was for forefoot strikers, which was exactly what I was, so I found this shoe to be exactly what I needed. The only negative I saw was it was a touch on the expensive side. When I got it, I was not disappointed, as not only did it not hurt my knees, it was bouncy, and very comfortable for a super shoe, with enough spring to go really fast without much effort. These shoes still have amazing durablility, (I'm on my second pair, but my first lasted me around 350 miles, which for a super shoe is quite a lot) and my first 5k in them, I PRed by over a minute! I really do recommend for those looking for a super shoe but not too high of a drop!

I was a diehard Nike Alphafly wearer. I switched to these ASICS Meta Speedy Sky and I am feeling much more confident in my speed and endurance. It fits my foot better, which is narrow and long. It's got great rebound. And because this is important to me, it looks great.

Great energy return due to the carbon plate. Comfortable. Spacious toe box and a nice firm fit. Works great for intervals, 5k, 10k and ultras. Good grip, works on gravel as well. Not suitable for trailrunning.

I won a 5k and got 3rd in these shoes. So much bounce and propulsion!

Shoes fit my feet very well, even better than Vapourflies, Legs are much less sore after racing in these shoes than after previously used ones. Do not train much in these shows, save than for races.

Happy with these shoes, but felt pretty unresponsive after two marathons in them.
