This shoe has amazing ground feel and relatively good cushion. It is slightly wider than many trail shoes which makes them feel stable and reactive. Because of the wider toe box they do suffer slightly on the descent by allowing your foot to slide forward and toes touching the front of the shoe if not laced up snug. They have very durable uppers that will last hundreds of miles even amongst sharp shale. The only thing that I would change about this shoe would be to have slightly more tread.
