Updated 2024 Boston Marathon Forecast – A Near Perfect Day To Run & Watch The Race?
The weather forecast is looking absolutely amazing for Monday's race - both for fans and spectators

Updated April 14, 2024 – The Boston Marathon is one of the few major marathons where the weather can have a HUGE impact in a positive or negative way each year. It can slow you down greatly if it’s super hot, likewise if it’s cold and raining. A strong headwind can also slow you down while a strong tailwind can help you greatly.
We’re updating the forecast for the race every few days here on LetsRun.com and the latest forecast is looking incredibly good 13 hours out from the race. It looks like it will be a beautiful day to both run and spectate the race. Apple weather is forecasting sunny skies and a tail wind. The temperatures will be pretty darn good as well – a little warmer than perfect for runners but probably the best combo of good for runners and spectators. It looks like it will be in high 60s at the start and high 50s to lows 60s at the finish for the pros, going up into the high 60s for the masses.
As for the wind, it should help people run faster. The Boston course goes from SW to NE and the wind is projected to be coming out of the West. Since the Boston marathon finish line is roughly 7.5 miles north of the start line, the best wind would be out of the SW but the wind probably will help the pros by roughly a minute.
