Everyone knew the weather in Eugene, Oregon was going to be extremely hot today. In fact, the weather ended up pretty much being EXACTLY as forecast. However, USATF has decided at the last minute to postpone the action by 5 hours after a heptathlete passed out. Now the running finals will all take place after 9:00 pm local and after midnight on the East Coast.
We knew three days ago that it would be this hot today. The forecast only increased since then.
Why did it take an athlete in contention for the Olympic team fainting in 104 temps to get a schedule change for the non-distance events? #TrackFieldTrials21 https://t.co/4WeXD33D1a
