Mile 19: 5:29 (1:45:27) Move in women’s race. Only 5 in lead pack.Keitany leading it, Tufa behind, then Mergia, Jeptoo, Moreira. Others, including Thweatt, are dropping back.
Mile 20: 5:22 (1:50:49). Moreira dropped. It’s down to four– Keitany and Tufa in the front, Jeptoo and Mergia at the back.
Mile 21: 5:14 (1:56:03) Keitany and Tufa dropping Jeptoo and Mergia. This is playing out similar to London. Jeptoo fighting back to try to hold on, she’s only a few meters back but Mergia is dropped. But by 21 miles, she can’t hold on. It’s down to two.
35km – 16:24 (1:59:55)
Mile 22: 5:13 (2:01:16)Keitany makes her bid during mile 22. She gets a gap on Tufa. Within a minute, she has a lead of about 30 meters and it’s growing.
Mile 23: 5:15 (2:06:31) Her lead is 45 seconds. Wow.

25km: 1:19:38 (16:24). Meb pushing up front

Mile 17: 5:05 (1:27:04) Pack is down to eight. Biwott, Tsegay, Desisa, Kipsang, Kawauchi, Kamworor, Meb, Kemal. Biwott pushing
Mile 18: 4:40 (1:31:44) Still eight in lead pack

Mile 19: 5:03 (1:36:47) Still same eight leaders.
Mile 20: 5:14 (1:42:01) Right after 20 miles, Kamworor goes for it. Only Kipsang, Desisa, Biwott can match it. Kipsang falling back just before 21 miles. It’s down to three.
Mile 21: 4:24 (1:46:25). Ridiculous move from Kamworor. Only Desisa and Biwott can answer. Kipsang is nine seconds down.
35 K: 1:49:47 (14:50)
Mile 22: 4:31 (1:50:55) 8:55 for the last two miles for Kamworor, Desisa and Biwott!!!
Mile 23: 4:33 1:55:28. Kamworor disappeared off-screen to the side for about 10 seconds before reappearing. Biwott assumes the lead in mile 24 — Kamworor appears to be hurting. Biwott making his move just before they enter Central Park. Desisa is done, and Kamworor getting gapped too.
Mile 24: 4:45 (2:00:12) Biwott just one second up on Kamworor. Kamworor slowly getting dropped. He’s holding on, but Biwott gradually stretching it out. But at about 24.5, Kamworor cuts back into the lead slightly. But then Biwott stretches it out again.
Mile 25: 4:35 (2:04:47) Biowtt’s lead is five seconds. Doesn’t look like Kamworor can come back now. Thumbs-up as he comes into the Park for the final time. Lead was 8 secs on Central Park South but he’s really pouring it on now.
