I’m in the eighth grade and was a 400/4x8/1600 guy though I ran and won in every event except the 100 at least once. The 400 was one of my weaker events and I ran 55.2 in it however I ran the mile and 4x8 anchor before it and the 4x4 anchor after and oftentimes wouldn’t get much rest. How much does this affect my performance in the 400 as I think I could’ve been a mid-low 54s guy but often times I felt I had nothing in me when it was time to run the 400. If I were to get a pacer and run a time trial could I possibly go sub 55 if there wasn’t much before it?
