Hey, watch the micro-aggressions, bro!
Gender dysphoria is a mental disorder.
When did we start calling drag queens transgendered?
Unfortunately, CeCe has a mental disorder. All trans do, but it’s almost taboo to talk about.
Before OR after, the suicide rate of trans is 40%!!! The suicide rate stays at 40% even AFTER gender reassignment surgery.
Absolutely ridiculous, and yet, there is people out there suggesting being trans is just the way they are. This does not treat the problem, and only allows the problem to manifest and continue.

Being a progressive liberal, I don't feel that I can pass judgment on a whole class of people. I would caution people who think they have the ability to do so.
However, in regards to competitive sports, there is a distinctive border that we all must respect if we are going to continue to have women's athletics. I'm sorry to the trans community, but unless a strict protocol is established, requiring trans-females to undergo a certain period of hormone and other changes (the time of which I am uncertain, maybe a couple years?), competing in the women's category should not be allowed. The same is true with intersex individuals.

This proves in order to think this is a legitimate issue, you need to have an IQ under 80 or be so vulnerbable to brainwashing and groupthink you'll believe anything.
This transgender craziness has to be some kind of test to see how far the elite can push society into unnatural subjective beliefs.
I'm a girl because I have long hair and girl clothes on, and just really want to be.
DEMOCRATS ASKED FOR THIS. HALF OF YOU SHOULD HAVE NO COMPLAINTS.
Another liberal here and I 100% agree.
We've all encountered those people who don't understand how big the difference between a 4:30 mile and a 4:00 mile is, so it makes sense that they can't really understand this scenario either. I have a grab-bag of thoughts I'm going to go through now, because I feel very strongly about this issue but it's almost impossible to have this conversation with non-runners because that requires so much context to convince them you aren't a bigot.
1. The amount of transphobia on this thread is depressing and sickening. I felt ill reading a lot of the hateful, mocking comments here. That hate is why we're in this mess, that's why liberals are over-correcting on this issue. Trans individuals have been subjected to so much violence, hate, and discrimination over the years, and the political left is just trying to fix that. In this particular case however, they don't fully understand the issue and are making a mistake. What's particularly vexing is their refusal to even acknowledge the nuance and complexity at play here.
2. CeCe is not cheating, she competed completely within the rules (which is the problem). Attacking her is counterproductive, the NCAA are the ones to blame here. I've spent some time around institutions like the NCAA and I know this move. They won't take any action unless absolutely forced to by public outcry. They don't really care that much about fair competition in track and field at the D2 level, but they are terrified about the public backlash that would happen if they "discriminate" against athletes like CeCe.
3. The whole argument that "well she doesn't win every race, therefore it's fair" is so dumb. If you dope and win silver or bronze, you still had an unfair advantage.
4. I feel bad when female competitors are asked about this issue. They either have to say they're fine with it, or they get labeled as intolerant. Look at what happened to the CT girls and parents who spoke up about the high school sprinters.

Well said. Liberals aren't in lock-step supporting trans women in sports. Most of my circle of friends are liberal and plenty of them don't think Semenya or Telfer should be racing in women's sports.

The LGBTQ community says its OK now because gender is transitory.
Not having a Uterus and it's bountiful issues is a clear disadvantage too.

Truth here. IQ agree. So many low IQ fools on the trans boat parade. To some degree I do feel sorry for them. They should direct their desperate need to feel compassion and family toward stray cats and not a movement of human decay. Agree - Creepy Elite and all their creepy non-profit think tanks also known as university gang members.
Cultural Marxism.
I feel that transgenders should go through complete surgery in order to be eligible to compete as women.
I have come to my own conclusion that Semanya is ok.
If she is all natural, born with ovaries and lady parts, can get pregnant, can nurse a baby, no medical alterations, that’s just the way it is.
She scored the genetic athletic lottery.
Marion Jones (minus all the drugs she took) scored the genetic lottery too but she screwed the pooch.
Tiny lithe distance females who don’t take drugs but are all legs, tiny torso and big lungs, - genetic athletic lottery.
Males- they say Manzano had larger heart blood volume capacity. Super cool. Genetic athletic lottery.
Lebron, all of them etc. hard work with no peds, genetic lottery.
People with XX chromosomes compete in the women’s category and that’s it... no if’s, ands or buts. Absolutely no mandatory surgery, hormone-suppression treatments, et al. to compete as a woman. No governing body should encourage or require invasive treatments like these. If someone wants to do that on their own for personal reasons, that’s their business, but it should not be made mandatory by a third party. To me, allowing certain competitors to adjust their hormone levels, no matter the reason, is against the very essence of a clean sport. I see no difference in an XY person reducing their testosterone levels vs. an XX person increasing their levels using artificial means.

Maybe so but her statements about being at a disadvantage as a man competing as a woman is at best delusional. Any male or female over the age of 10 knows boys are faster than girls. On average it is not even close. If the NCAA takes the view "The worlds not fair so neither are we" so be it but that doesn't make it right.
