Hi All,
I'm in the process of programming a 6 week youth running program. This will be a first for me, I would like to know how you guys would structure this?
Here's what I have so far
Monday's & Tuesday's Ages (8-10)
7:00-7:15am- Arrive, warm up & stretch
7:15-7:25am- Running drills & form work
7:30-7:50am- Main work out (Speed play, intervals or tempo running)
7:50-8:00am- Cool down & stretch
Monday's & Tuesday's Ages (5-9)
8:00-8:15am- Arrive, warm up & stretch
8:15-8:25am- Running drills & form work
8:30-8:40am- Running games & intervals
8:40-8:45am- Cool down & stretch
Wednesday Practice Meet Schedule (Kids compete against each other) 6:00-7:30pm on Wednesdays.
1 mile, 800 meters, 400 meters, 200 meters and 100 meters. (racing by age groups)
Do you think any changes can be made to make this a better program?
