Try this:
Add
1 heaping tablespoon cocoa powder
and
1 heaping teaspoon of brown sugar
to
5 ounces of water in a cup.
Microwave for 50-60 seconds.
Stir / whisk until smooth.
Very satisfying. Low calorie. Tastes like liquid chocolate cake mix.

Geezus, this isn't that hard. Eat what you want when you want to satisfy a sweet tooth, just stick to small portions and don't do it too often. Have one cookie, half a donut, a small serving of ice cream, or a thin slice of cake, and that should be enough to satisfy your craving and tide you over to the next time. As long you're not getting the majority of your calories from junk you'll be fine.
If you've got the discipline to be running D1, this shouldn't be that hard.
Ice cream does the trick for me. I eat lots of it, and I don't consider it a bad habit.
fruit
I like to mix plain Greek yogurt with cocoa powder, honey, and vanilla.
Nutella. Preferably with a large spoon. It’s a sadly underappreciated food group.
Fruit of the Dawn:
Thinly sliced apple
Orange slices (cleaned and deveined thoroughly)
Drizzle rose water over fruit
Drizzle honey over fruit
Sprinkle cinnamon on top
*Can serve with side of Thai sticky rice (Jasmine sticky rice with hot coconut milk poured over it)
My go-to's:
Pink Lady Apples
Pears
Berries and granola with coconut milk yogurt
Smoothie with coconut milk, banana, cacao powder, and peanut butter
Cheerios (Trader Joe's O's) and chocolate hazelnut milk
A variety of snack bars as long as they include some fiber (Lara, Clif, Kind, Thunderbird, certain Trader Joe's)
Put a good cake in front of me and expect me to eat way too much of it, too. I simply try not to have foods like that around 99% of the time.
Just pig out man. I eat whatever I want and can run a sub 6 mile and sub 20 5k as a sophomore!

That's hot garbage. Eat healthy foods, everyone knows this is an ingredient to success. Wanna shave that extra 90 seconds off a marathon time and make the team? Don't eat ice cream.
I think you misread the post. He runs for a small college, he's not trying to make Olympics.
OP, Eat Ice cream , enjoy life.
Whatever times you are chasing now will be fleeting, but placing too much emphasis on short term athletic success and developing a neurotic disorder can be long-lasting and ruin your life.
People care waaaaaaaay less about your running success that you think, and in a few years, so will you.
DUDE IM TELLING YOU G BUTTER! Look it up ! Amazing ! It’s like a goo that you can eat raw or heat it up and it turns into a cake/brownie. Tons of flavors. (Cookies and cream is the best, but there all hella AMAZING) it statisfys my sweet tooth no matter what!
