I wouldn't let it get that far. I'd take the bat the minute my son told me he was gay and beat the life or gayness out of him from day one. Problem solved. And hell no, I wouldn't tell my parents I was a racewalker if I was.

My son is a racewalker. I have disowned him.
It is simply a matter of cause and effect.
Hypothetical Here- If God (or whatever you believe runs this place) said to you "choose between being gay or racewalking, if you do not choose, I will strike you down, dead?" How would you get out of this dilemma?

That's easy, beat the crap out of god. Then pin him to the ground and make him apologize for trying to give you an ultimatum. I'd make him call me "sir" too.
racewalking is like having a contest to see who can whisper the loudest...

Thank you Bob Costas, I've think we've all heard that one about a thousand times now.
Let's create a list of sports that Racewalkers think are gay. I'll start with Disc Golf, Ultimate (pretty much anything that involves flicking a Frisbee),Team Handball, Badmidton, Table Tennis...

Racewalkers don't criticize sports for being gay, they criticize sports for being too straight. Just the other day a race walker said to me (actually he was talking to someone else and I overheard him cause I don't talk to racewalkers), anyway this racewalker says, "no way will I go bowling with you, Phil, that sport is straight up straight!"
I'm not sure what's funnier, Moe...your post or the fact that you called Bowling a sport...
Racewalking is for pathetic losers who can't run for sh*t, and want to impress on the lighter side, maybe they should alteast enter ultras where they can jog/run for a 100mile race, rather than move those hips and cheat on a 50k
Whats the hardest thing about learning to roller blade?
Telling your parents you're gay.

No disrespect to racewalking, but I definitely agree with this one.
One time I was working at a HS meet and two kids entered the walk because there was hardly anybody in it just to score some points that would count towards them getting a varsity letter. Now THAT is a disgrace.

Do any high schools even have racewalking as an event?
If you are competing as a race walker is it legal to perform a series of cartwheels to complete the course? If a part of your body is always in contact with the ground wouldn't that satisfy the rules. I think that would make is a cooler sport!

Cooler, yes; legal, no.
One *foot* must always appear to be in contact.

Pardon me. My intent was not to sound huffy at all. I was just clarifying the facts of the situation. And since the comments were about me I thought I had a personal interest. That was all. Personally, I am not at all concerned over whether some likes the walks, hammer TJ or what ever else come to their minds. But I do care if someone makes a statement about my life - to some extent any ways.
Calling Mike Rohl...I challenge you to a walk-off. Karl Van Norman Field. You pick the day and time.
