I felt like running moderate mileage (60-70) at 6:00-6:10 helped me develop the best aerobically.
It ended up being about 90 seconds slower than race pace which is exactly what (the GOAT) Salazar recommends. #FreeSalazar

If all of your easy runs are at 6 min pace, one of two things come to mind:
1. You should be running sub 12 for 5,000
2. You don’t know how to train
Not even Kipchoge or Cheptegei run their easy runs at 6 min pace. Their afternoon easy 10-15km recovery runs are between 7 and 8:30 pace.
My fastest runner has a 13:06 5,000PB and 27:05 10,000PB. Easy runs for him are in the 7:45 to 8:20 pace.
I mean there's definitely a correlation XD but it's much smaller than one would think.
That’s about 60-90 seconds per mile faster than my easy pace and I ran high 14s, so I guess you’d be somewhere around 11-12 minutes for 5k?
