Thanks. Good stuff with the new design.

On the reply thing. Yeah, it's on my phone. If the text of the quoted post is bigger than the text box. I can't scroll down to the bottom of the quoted text to reply.
OK, I recoded the quote feature to automatically scroll to the bottom of the textbox when used. This should help. Works for me on my iPhone, give it a shot.
Yeah, it works.
In a desktop browser there is a lot of whitespace at the top of a post comment but very little at the bottom so that the last line of the comment abuts the header for the next post. I would reduce some of the whitespace at the top (caused by icons and text for reply, etc.) and add some whitespace to the bottom.
Liked it better when links opened in new tabs. It's helpful to be able to have both the linked source and the thread open at the same time.

I've played with this a lot, making the text wrap around the "reply" links. This removes any empty white space at the top but it just doesn't look good.
The alternative would be to move the "reply" etc. links to another location, but that would confuse viewers.
Moving the reply links into the subject box results in really tall gray boxes whenever there's any wrapping and it looks a lot worse than it does now.
In my estimation (and people I've asked for feedback from) all say to go the way it is now. It's not perfect but it's the best way to retain the familiarity of the forums from the last decade without confusing people.
It looks a lot worse for those using Adblock Plus. Maybe that was the whole point.
Before the message board update, whatever screen name/moniker I used for one post would show up for the next post. (I use a lot of situation-specific monikers). Now, every time I want to post, this screen name is in the Name field every single time.
Fix please?

Ha. Yeah, I'm not going out of my way to make it easier for people to change their handles around. Just type in the box. Takes two seconds. If you post accidentally under your "real name" calling some 130 pound woman fat, you'll just have to live with the shame.
Its better apart from putting everything in large print when you reduce the site size
That and something has slowed down the site
I understand what you are saying, but as a graphic designer and software developer the extra white space on top of a post and very little white space on the bottom is jarring to the senses. Perhaps it will convince me to hang out here less on the letsrun messageboard which wouldn't be a bad thing. :-)

As an admin we have some moderator tools at the bottom of each post that I was seeing and it made me missing what you're saying about the lack of white space at the bottom. I went into incognito mode and it's more noticeable. I added a little padding at the bottom and reduced that at the top by a few pixels. It's still a little asymmetric but it's a little better. Good advice.
Honestly, I think what I would prefer is to have those reply tools to the left under everyone's nicknames. That would be a better use of space. But I'm sure we'd get 100 responses saying "I don't know how to reply anymore WHAT HAVE YOU DONE" and I'd half-agree with them because I'm so used to hitting reply/return to index in that spot.
The problem where sometimes a slow ad would make the site reformat in a delayed way should be alleviated. The pages should load a little snappier now.
On my phone (Samsung Galaxy S4), when I go to the "Forums", I don't see the "Search" link underneath the bar with selectable page numbers. This is true for both "Chrome" and "Internet" applications.
I only see:
"Start Thread" "Rules" "Register"
While on the Ipad and on my computers I see:
"Start Thread" "Search" "Rules" "Register"
I can see a "Search" function on the blue Letsrun title bar, but this looks more like a site search, and doesn't allow me to search, for example, for "rekrunner" in the Past 3 days.
How come the fonts are smaller on my Mac computer? Should I try restarting my computer?
When I try to log into Letsrun using my Apple II, everything appears in black and white.

Looks great, thanks!
