I just ran a 5:36 mile on the local track this morning. I have a goal to get to a sub 18 5k by fall. I was pushin myself pretty good to achieve the 5:36. I'm pretty sure I couldn't maintain that pace for 3 miles (5:36).. I have ran a 18:52 5k about a month ago.
Any predictions what my 5k would be currently?
What would be some good mile splits to run sub 18? I'm always afraid in mile 1 i'm not going fast enough and wont be able to make up the time..
I'm getting better at pacing.
