Was really pleased with how this week went. A good return to training following a bit of downtime. the track session on friday surprised me a bit to be honest, i started to feel really tired after only 3 but my coach gave me the word of confidence which helped massively.

The reality of work hit me hard in the face this week, production on all 4 days were so busy that i was too drained to go out for a run before or afterwards! kind of a blessing really as i had a race at the weekend so i wanted to be fresh for it... and it payed off! absolutely over the moon! first race win and by a reasonable margin too (37 seconds). The course is 4 laps of a local park (1 short, 3 long) and the long laps had a very small hill along the way so if i was to find a flat and fast 5k, 16:15-16:20 wouldve been possible i reckon.
Hope everybody has had a good weeks training. look forward to reading up on how you're all doing :)
