This girl just ran a 1:12:58 at Provo City Half Marathon today as a 20 year old college sophomore. It's 900' net downhill, but it's also at an average altitude of about 5000', so all said, it's still a bit slower than a flat course at sea level. She ran a conservative race and just moved up throughout the course, eventually taking 5+ minutes off the course record and annihilating the competition, which included former US Steeplechase record holder and NCAA champion Kassi Harmon. I couldn't find much other results for her, but let me say that she looked scary strong and fast today. If she stays fit, she will undoubtedly be a factor in the 10000 at NCAAs over the next couple years.
