Runners have a hard time facing the facts that they are not the world's most developed aerobically. The mechanical stresses of running limit us to far less volume than is put in by cyclists, swimmers or xc skiiers.
Dude chill out. My point is that good cyclists have generally low weight and high hemocrit. They benefit from doing a lot of aerobic and anaerobic training. This is not unlike 10k runners and marathoners.
Cycling is a lot more like running than weight lifting, or gymnastics. That was my point.
