I bought a Nike Air Zoom Vapor back around 2000/2001 when I saw it on sale for like $40. I figure I will use it someday and that day has come 12 years later. Time flies quickly when you get old. Today I took it track for some intervals. The back of the heel area rubs something inside the shoes. I can see the redness and it didn't go away after adjusting the shoes. I wore a thin socks that cover up above my ankle. I put my trainer back on for the rest of the workout. I couldn't risk getting a deep abrasion with Brooklyn 1/2 next Saturday. Up until the rubbing, the flat was great. Lots of support and good responsiveness.
Anyone have issues like this w/ racing flats/spikes? I never had a problem like this flats/spikes before. Any solutions?
Below is the pic of the flat. Most of you are probably too young to remember it. Mine is blue with silver and I think that was the next year's model.
