This looks about right for the surgery route.
I went the other route when I had my Jones fracture 3 years ago, did not have surgery and let it heal naturally. My jones wasn't a clean displacement break, there was just a little bone attached. For better or for worse I was VERY active when I had mine.
Spent two days on crutches, said eff this. Spent time in the boot walking around, but I spent a lot of time just walking awkwardly with my foot in a very everted (pronated) position.
Was in the pool a lot. I used a pull buoy and then would only push off the wall with my healthy foot. Was on the bike a lot too though. Never stood up in the saddle, wore very stiff shoes.
While the large amount of activity I was doing I am sure definitely delayed the healing (it was 5 months from break to healthy walking), I kept decently in shape. The process to get back into running was very conservative though, as it should be.
