I really like swimming as a method of cross training and an impact free way to improve aerobically.
However, I've noticed I've been gaining quite a bit of upper body muscle and I'm not sure if this extra weight will hurt me in the future...8k/10k cross country is a long ways to haul extraneous upper body muscle.
Thoughts? Would I be better sticking to the elliptical or pool running until I'm running doubles again?
