I wouldn't call him a "race wrecker" as it wasn't intentional but rather bad luck, but it was definitely not the right call to advance him when he didn't even finish the race.

Are we sure the DQ was for the fall? The NCAA results show UVA's Brett Johnson in the final. He was off the back? How can he advance?
the emailed ncaa results have 4 time qualifiers. flashresults only has two time qualifiers. i'm assuming flash is correct?

He caused a collusion
AHA! And so the truth comes out. A collusion was caused. It must have been between the Arizona coaches and the officials, colluding to pull this scam. Got it again Malmo.
Probably just a mistake. Should only be two time qualifiers. Johnson was just dropped early.
Interested to hear your opinion on this Rojo? Do you think one, some, all, or none of the runners should have been advanced? Were you trackside?
Buddy. You're obsessed and your nuts.
I've watched this video frame by frame.
1. Hassan is running on the outside of lane 1. both left and right feet are touching the ground about a half shoe-width from the line.
2. Foster is clearly behind him. His feet are touching the ground about six inches from the inside line.
3. Right at the finishline, Hassan is still touching down just inside the line. Foster, however, moves in and steps right in the middle of the line, first with is right foot, then Fosters left leg clips Hassan's right leg, causing the fall.
Clearly Foster was running 6 inches or more in lane 2, then as soon has he move IN and stepped right on the lane line, the very next stride he clipped Hassan. This is as clear as day. The judges were 100% correct.
Don't believe me, then download the video and watch it frame by frame.
What's your point? Foster moved in and as soon as he did he tripped Hassan. I'll post the screen shots for you.
FOR REAL! Make sure you take a screen shot at exactly 45 seconds because what you will get is Hassan's left foot crossing over into lane two, a CLEAR movement outwards. What you will also see is Foster maintaining his run on the inside of lane 2.
YOU ARE NUTS. Hassan's foot moved into lane two when Foster clipped him. End of story. Foster caused the collision.
Foster was running in lane 2. Just as soon as he stepped on the line he clipped Hassan. There is no disputing the video record of it.
Obsessive much?
Now you're just making stuff up Malmy. Must be watching a different video to the rest of us. Not sure what this whole "obsessive" thing is that you've got going on as well, appears to me we've had the same amount of posts. If you're so much above this, why don't you stop posting?
doesn't really look like enough to DQ anyone in my opinion. people get tangled up in bunched up races like that. tough luck. i wouldn't DQ or advance anyone there.
You're completely irrational. Who's "the rest of us?" Your many sockpuppets?
Game over, child.
Foster moves in, as soon as he steps on the lane line with his right foot his left leg clips Hassan causing him to fall.
Foster moves in, steps on the line with his right foot, clipping Hassan with his left leg, causing Hassan to fall.
If you watch the video from flotrack you can clearly see that Foster was clearly in lane 2 and he never takes one step into lane 1 which is where Hassan was running. Right after the bell rings you can clearly see Hassan step into lane 2 and that is when he get clipped by Foster. Hassan didn't have a stride length of room to move over and there for the fall was cause by him and he should be the one to be DQ'ed...and one other thing these pictures you provided us with malmo are not equal in scale to one another and you should also point out the distance of Hassans foot from the line as well...that is all!
Malmo, Dot sure what race you were watching.. i watched the flotrack video. Watch Hassan look over 3 times comming down the back stretch and step out in front of foster. No way foster could get out the way. Refs got it wrong
The following situations shall constitute legal running in nonlane events:
a.A competitor may run anywhere on the track at any pace or any change of pace as long as the competitor does not impede or obstruct by any body or arm action the progress of another runner.
Do you realize that since the camera angle is changing in each picture that the lines you drew mean nothing?
If you run into someone from behind on the highway you get the ticket, not the guy in front. I watched the slowmo and it was pretty clear that Foster ran right up on the guy.

Open your eyes. Malmo posted screenshots of the last 6 steps leading to the collision. The only thing that changed was Fosters position on the track.
Steps 1 and 2. Foster is running about 6-8 inches in lane 2. Hassan is running on the very outside of lane 1

Image:
http://oi52.tinypic.com/28aqbo6.jpgStep 5. Foster's left foot gets right next to the line. Hassan still running in the same place. Step 6. Fosters right foot is know solidly on the middle of the line, his left leg catches Hassans trailing leg, causing Hassan to fall.

In the last 6 steps Foster moved inside from 6-8 inches out to right on the line. Once Foster hit the line he hit Hassan causing a chain reaction.
Hassan was not at fault at all. Foster was to blame and was DQ's because of it.
If you cut someone off on the highway and get caught you get ticketed for reckless driving...Hassan cut Foster off because he didn't have enough room to move out
This reminds me a lot of the fall Galen Rupp caused at the New York half this year. In both cases, you see a runner clearly taking a look around. In both cases, the runner becomes slightly disoriented because of it. The guys surrounding the looker have been in a rhythm for a long time and moving as a pack, but this one guy deviates. Without malicious intent, the runner puts himself in the obvious path of other runners.
The whole pack bends into the curve, except for Hassan, who tries to edge his way out of the pack. Can't blame Hassan much for not wanting to be boxed and you can't blame Foster much for running tight with the pack.
