Got a pain in my right hip that aches just when sitting there. It's a dull ache, so it's not horrible, but it is there. It's more where the joint is an not where the IT band would attach. Been going on for about two weeks now.
When I go for a run it hurts a lot in the first mile. I'm almost limping when I start, but then by the first mile, it feels great and continues to feel great the rest of the run and then for a few hours after that even.
Question is, what the hell is it? Arthritis? (I am 36). Stress fracture? Inflammation of some sort? Anyone know why it would go away during the run? I'm assuming it has something to do with being warmed up.
You can spare me the "go to the doctor" take. I will do that even after getting advice from you all if the pain does not go away, but I'd like to know if any of you have experienced this.
Thanks,
Dave
