IMHO, I think that there is about an 80% chance of Haile coming back to world class racing.
I think that he was just severely frustrated about his physical condition. Although I don't want to say that I have ever or will ever run anywhere near his level, I felt about the same was in 2006 when I was 37 years old, just having had some of the best training in my life, but then not being able to get past 15km in the Rotterdam Marathon due to the exhaustion from the training. I wanted so badly to quit competing due to the frustration of this. Have you ever felt this way?
I think that he'll go see a world class surgeon, get his knee cleaned up, take a couple of months off, and then we'll see him back at Berlin next year. What do you think?
