How much energy, in kilojoules, is required to remove all the third-shell electrons in a mole of gaseous silicon atoms?
I know you use the ionization energy equation which is I=RH*(Zeff^2/n^2)
where RH in kilojoules=2.179*10^-21 kJ. I know Zeff=4.15 for Silicon but I don't know where to go from there. Someone wanna please help?
