Has anyone here run this race? What are the conditions like, and the quality of the field?
From what I can gather from the race website, it's a very flat and potentially fast course. Of course, the temperatures could mess with that. It says 15C (~60F) at the start at 7am, but it's rather more important what it is at 9am.
As for the field, it looks like there's an elite field of 20-25, which might grow since Haile is running. Behind the elites, though, there's not much depth. If I'm aiming for a 2:35-ish time I might be pretty lonely, save a few female elites.
So anyway, any info would be appreciated.
