Im a freshman in hs looking to run a sub 5 mile for track. I had a rough xc season w getting injured and only running a 20:40 right now I’m doing 30 mpw at an avg of 8:25 pace, once December hits I’m going to up to 35 mpw and start doing long runs, then a lil later I’ll start tempos once a week. Then I’ll start doing 7 mile hard long runs and then upping it to 8 mile hard long runs and 3-4 mile tempos. Will this be good enough?
