I came across this article regarding a rate of improvement of 6-8% for new runners over the "Course of your training" - what defines the course of your training?
is that 6-8% improvement per day? per week? per month? per year?
Say I'm running a 10min mile for my easy runs, tomorrow I am not going be able to run 9:36(4% faster) for my easy runs consistently without being injured within a month or two. Neither should I run that pace in a week. How do I know what defines the length of training for 6-8%?
