Just resurfacing this for fun. Knight didn't win a medal. But he was in the hunt until ~500m to go, and finished 7th. Oh, and he did make the final.
Top 2 male 5000m runners in North America are both Canadian.

So may garbage takes in this thread. Knight ran 12:51 this year. 15 seconds faster than Klecker. I am not gunna dig through this entire thread but I saw multiple times people claiming that Knight was nowhere near Klecker. Knight is clearly a better 1500m, 3000m and 5,000m runner than Klecker right now.
