He will have to run at least 1:41.72 for comparisons with Coe to be anything more than wishful thinking from across the pond.

Why compare to Coe?
Irrelevant. Completely different athletes. Nothing in common. It would make more sense to compare him to Rudisha.

Buddy they both run the 800. They're comparing their 800s. ALL athletes are completely different athletes.
He will run 1:44.44 tonight. I thought this was abundantly clear.
I predict he will miss the American record (it doesn't matter by how much), sparking endless discussion about just how DONE he is.

It's just ridiculous. The thread is about what brazier might run. This joker just posts about Coe instead. It's boring.
Brazier will run 1:43 mid and they will say he looked like he was jogging.
I’m more excited about Monaco than this. Tonight’s probably just a tune up for him.
2nite - 1:41.93, breaks American record,
Monaco 1:40.8 - breaks Rudisha's record
come at me bro

1 hour, 43 minutes and 67 seconds is very slow for an 800.
And you put it in bold.

there will be zero competition for him, but possibly a pacer for 500 meters or so.
Haven't we realized that competition slows down these people. Too much traffic and fighting for position.
Seriously it should be no problem to find someone to take him through 500m in 62 or so and that is about as far as you ever get a pacer in the 800m.

i agree and could have been more clear. i should have quoted the guy i was responding to. he said there will not be enough competition. so my reply was meant to imply that there was actually zero competition, but hopefully a pacer which would be as good as anywhere else.
Is there a live stream anywhere? What time is this going down?
i think the meet streams on youtube starting around 11. there is a thread specific to this meet where it is listed.
i should say 8 Pacific, 11 EDT.
